I find this discussion funny because I live in Japan. There is a huge industry for fan-made homoerotica based on established characters from anime, manga, movies, and books from around the world here. If it exists, there is porn of it. I only dislike shipping if it crosses some line, like it drifts into harassment, sexism, racism, etc. Art exists for the audience, and not just you. If you don’t like shipping, then don’t do it. Let others enjoy what they will. You don’t have to read other people’s slash if you don’t want to. You are free to walk away. They would probably fantasize about it anyway if they didn’t write it down, and it’s not like you can police other people’s thoughts.
