Day 06 - Favorite episode of your favorite t.v show

According to the information in Day 4, my favorite show is Twin Peaks.

If I were going to be stereotypical and pick an episode that reflects all the best known and most interesting parts of the series, I would pick episode 2, “Zen, or the Skill to Catch a Killer”. This is the episode where Agent Cooper holds the “unconventional” meeting in the woods to narrow leads the police should pursue. It’s also the episode where Cooper has his famous dream in the Black Lodge with the Man From Another World who tells him “that gum you like is going to come back in style” and introduces his cousin, who looks just like Laura Palmer. 

If I were going to pick another episode that isn’t so gimmicky, I would pick episode 5, “Cooper’s Dreams”. I like it because it takes nearly all the sub-plots so far and adds complications. Audrey scams her way to the perfume counter at the department store to go undercover in the brothel, Bobby gives Shelley the gun she’ll eventually use to shoot Leo /while/ she’s on the phone with Leo, Norma tells Ed not to call her after he tells her about Nadine’s troubles after which Hank vows to earn his way back into Norma’s heart, the police find Jacques which connects events to Leo, they encounter the Log Lady, and eventually find the cabin where they find the bird who sings a pretty song and another part of the poker chip they found in Laura’s stomach. It ends with some great threads hanging for future episodes. Anyway, it was good.
